Statement from Beverly Hills Police Department
February 1, 2024

The Beverly Hills Police Department responded to 9850 Wilshire Blvd. regarding a report of an armed man on a hotel balcony.  As officers responded to the scene, the subject barricaded himself in the room.  As Beverly Hills Police Department crisis negotiators prepared to establish communication with the suspect, he willingly surrendered to police.

There were no injuries. Detectives remain on scene and the investigation continues.  Roadways in the area are reopening.
